Building Team Spirit and Fundraising - Sue Kust
In my search for ideas of how people can build team spirit, I stumbled across a blog that was discussing this very topic. This is what they decided they would do to build and keep their team spirit:
1. Support our team with positive thoughts.
2. Be willing to except loss if it happened.
3. Remember there is always next year.
4. Work together as fans to wear our t-shirts and hats in public as open display of our support for our team.
5. Be sympathetic to the other opposing team (since we know how it feels to win and lose).
6. Have fun and not be as competitive in our observance of a game.
7.Always encourage each other to have positive team spirit.
Too often we lose faith and get caught up in the competitiveness of team sports that it's easy to forget why you're doing it in the first place, and that's to have fun. The seven guidelines listed above set a great example of what we can do to build and encourage team spirit, whether it's for own team, your child's, or a friend's, simply changing your mind set can have a profound effect on the spirit of the team playing and those around them.
As number 4 suggests, one way to show your support and spirit is by donning team apparel. Not only can you wear the clothing of your team, but you can also express your pride with car magnets. Wherever you go you'll be promoting your team and team spirit. Another great way to do this is through the use of window decals. These can be used on your car, at home, at school, at sporting events, and pretty much anywhere there is a window.
Not only can team apparel be used to show your team spirit, but they also make for popular and fun fundraising items. Unfortunately, some organizations end up making costly mistakes that lose them their profits, but the good news is that The Spirit Zone understands the ins and outs of fundraising. That's why we've created a fr*ee e-book that teaches you the tricks to fundraising success that can boost your sales by 50%.
