Schools all over the country, large or small, high schools to preschools are realizing that when a student has pride in his or her school he is much more involved in the learning process and ends up being a better student. So school spirit wear has exploded. It makes a great fundraiser because it is a win/win! Students spirits are lifted, they become better students and some funds are raised.
Schools rely on us to make the process easy! It is often hard to find an artist and a a printer that understands how schools work and what their goals are and what kinds of products the kids, teachers and parents want.
Schools look to us to help them with their spirit wear in a couple of ways:
1.If schools need to order just a few items for a band, team, class fundraiser or have a solid history of sales in the past, they turn to us for art and production. We give them several ideas for art based on their input, we refine it until everyone is pleased and then we produce the items they require.
2.The other approach we use is to use a schools ideas for art, refine it until it is approved, produce an order sheet and samples(samples only if time allows) and let the school take orders at which point we produce the items when the school knows the quantity they need.
The first method is easier all around but can result in excess inventory, the second method is more work at both ends but goods are produced to order and their is less risk for the school involved.
There is however more risk for us with the preorder, so we have had to instill the following policy. If the school uses our art, order form and/or samples and then does not place a main order. The samples will be billed at retail, the art time charged at $45.00/hour. While this does not happen often, we have had to institute this policy recently.
